Need some design inspiration? Then, you will want to take advantage of this Pinterest-worthy home design! Check out this beautiful, fully remodeled Julie Marie! Every stone was turned in with a full kitchen, bath remodel, and more.
A cohesive design is what elevates this home. I write about this often in our other design blogs as well. It’s the most crucial part of a great design. Here, you can see the “tone or mood” of the home, which has design elements that flow throughout. Not only will this elevate the design, but in doing this, the entire house will feel more spacious. Each room has special touches to define the space but with key shared elements. When a home has a lot of different themes or significant color changes from room to room, it can make the house feel chopped up, and the space overall feel smaller.
And if the kitchen is the heart of the home, this home is ALL heart! The open kitchen/nook is a cozy space to enjoy a morning cup of coffee and an inviting area to socialize while cooking. The upper cabinets above the stove have been removed, and a full vent has been added. This opens the kitchen and, at the same time, elevates the kitchen to a more luxurious and modern feel. White cabinets are a timeless and classic choice yet stylish at the same time. The owner added her personal touches with “boho vibes” with a natural color palette, warm wood tones, and varying textures. Another element that brings even more depth and openness to the kitchen is swapping the solid pantry door for a glass pane door.
The bathrooms were kept bright and white but not dull. Something as simple as a fun title shape can add dimension and visual interest without being too busy. And white never goes out of style! You can always add color to your accessories.
Are you looking for ways to update your home? Even if you cannot do a complete remodel, a few things to consider are plumbing fixtures, cabinet hardware, and lighting. These are all easy things to upgrade your home that make a significant impact. Also, framed mirrors over bath vanities will instantly elevate a bathroom and make it look more polished. Another thing I see here that was well done is mixed metals. So, have fun designing your space. It’s okay to take some risks in calculated ways, but I hope this home was as inspiring to you as it was to me!
